Pray and Watch

"Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving."

Colossians 4:2

Welcome

You may be in a situation with an abusive person, whether it be emotional abuse or physical abuse, and feel that there is no way out. I encourage you to start doing what this verse says in Colossians 4:2, “Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving.”

Keep praying and watching with thankfulness. Pray, thanking God, for delivering you from the person. Then watch, continuing to look for, and expecting for God to do something to deliver you in an amazing way.

The second important thing I encourage you to do is to do what it says in John 8:32, and 32. “…If you continue in My Word, then you are My disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Be open to seeing the truth about the person. Sometimes this is very hard to do when it is a family member or someone who is close to you. You may see them do things that are good at times yet feel confused why you still have bad feelings when you are around them.

I am going to share verses from the Bible that describe these people so you can see who they are by God’s Word. Keep continuing, staying in, and studying these verses to know and understand the truth about these types of people so you can be free from them. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.”
